Item description

This is a pair of RARE, Hard-To-Find, VINTAGE "Aurora Borealis Rhinestone Beads Round Cluster Button Style Clip On Back Clipback Earrings" from the early-1960s. Part of my friend's Aunt's estate, these Earrings were stored in a plastic bag with a hand-written label that said "1961"; neither Earring is Marked. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, they are in EXCELLENT Condition, and are tightly strung with NO missing beads or other damage; they come from a smoke-free, pet-free home. With a diameter of approximately 3/4ths of an inch, the clipbacks work smoothly and hold the earlobe ear lobe securely. These Cluster Bead Earrings are girlishly GLAM, adding a BEWITCHING finishing touch to any outfit. Tightly hand-strung, the Aurora Borealis Rhinestones and Beads are all multi-faceted and catch the light nicely, creating a rainbow of color. Your personality won't be the only thing sparkling when you where these GORGEOUS Earrings which were definitely designed for a woman who appreciates living the good life! Now you can enjoy the luxury of bygone days with these STUNNING Earrings that are SULTRY, yet CLASSIC. These INDULGENT Earrings are the epitome of consummate beauty with enduring elegance. My friend's Aunt dined in the finest restaurants, knew the most influential people and did not know the meaning of the word ordinary. She had awesome taste and always bought the VERY BEST! These LOVELY costume jewelry Earrings have an intricate, 3 dimensional design and are very well made; far better than most that you will find. After World War II, Earrings like these were hand strung in such an array of designs and with such an extensive choice of beads that it is quite RARE to find any two that are exactly alike. The fabulous colors and shape combinations used in these Earrings are highly sought after. This PRETTY pair of Earrings features Aurora Borealis Rhinestones and Beads that reflect hues of gold, blue, orange, pink, turquoise, lavender and yellow with incredible sparkle. This beautiful pair of Earrings stands on it's own! All the beads are hand strung and wired to perforated findings, capped with a solid backing. Very dimensional, costume jewelry like this is becoming scarce and hard to find. Featuring a mix of unusual shaped beads with large multi-faceted cut Rhinestone centers, these BEAUTIFUL Earrings will accent any color outfit and are IDEAL for any Special, Dressy or Formal occasion. What is aurora borealis? Aurora borealis stones are coated with thin layers of metal to enhance brilliance and reflective color quality. The method used in coating the stone involves vaporizing metals in a vacuum. This method was first developed by Swarovski Crystals in 1955. Of course, it was then copied by other jewelry manufacturers.
