The book is a first edition published in 1922 by A. L. Burt Company of New York. Mr. Hayes had 4 boy trooper books before he wrote this one "On Duty". They were written for 12 to 16 year old boys. The binding is loose and the cover is worn. It has no dust cover but perhaps never had one. It has 236 numbered pages. The pages don't seem to be brittle like some of these older books because I think the original pages were of a heavier paper. We must collect 6% Pennsylvania Sales and Use Tax at checkout.
