THIS MONTH's COVER: Manuela, our .seven-year-old cover-girl, is all dressed up for a promenade through the streets of Granada, a favourite pastime of residents and tourists alike in the garden city of Spain. In company with hundreds of other children, she walks slowly along beside her parents, her -beautiful dark eyes gravely examining the other strol lers. Today, as on many Sundays, she is wearing make-up-powder, rouge, lipstick, and even a beautyspot on her cheek. Her adult hair-style, topped by a red flower, is in keeping with the Andalusian costume, as are her necklace and heavy earrings. It's not surprising that Manuela should be treated like a princess-Granada is a city fit for princesses to live in, with its palaces, its fountains and its flowers all set against the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada. On page 38, Jacqueline Bernard describes her impressions of Granada, and she also gives practical advice on visiting this city whose charms never pall.
