DETAILS
Some 1998+ Ford CD/Cassette radios manufactured by Pioneer are known for CD drive problems. Don't let a
defective radio keep you from enjoying your vehicle. Get your
replacement CD mechanism from ReplacementRadios. If you're in need of a CNP5170-A drive for the RDS CD/Cassette radio in your 1998+ Ford or Mercury vehicle because of CD Error messages, Bad Disc messages, noisy operation, or basic load and eject problems, you've come to the right place. This is a brand new
CD drive mechanism (mech).
This was used in Pioneer manufactured Ford CD/Cassette radios with the RDS feature, at a minimum. This is NOT guaranteed to be compatible with Visteon, Sanyo or Delco manufactured Ford radios. We have provided pictures of the drive AND the part number. It is in your best interest to make sure this is the drive you have or you're risking wasting money.
Instructions for installation or removal are not included. If you do
not feel comfortable attempting this replacement or are not qualified to
perform the replacement you should seek an electronics shop that will
do it for you or ask us about sending it in for us to do it. We
can tell you that you MUST disconnect the negative battery terminal (or
remove the plugs from the back of the radio) and let it sit for at least
60 minutes BEFORE you attempt to do any work on the radio. Failure to
do so can result in a short within the radio. We've had many reports of it from people who ignored this caution. Don't be one of them!!
APPLICATIONS
Ford used four radio manufacturers and all the parts were different for each. This drive was used in some (but not all) Pioneer radios from 1998-2002, at a minimum. It is NOT guaranteed to work in Sanyo, Delco, or Visteon manufactured radios. Make sure your drive matches the part number provided (CNP5170-A). This number is found on the green board on the bottom of the drive, as pictured in the listing.
ABOUT US:
We are NOT a salvage yard. We are NOT affiliated with a salvage yard. We don't have the typical parts sales mentality. We specialize in one thing: replacement factory audio/video. We are very picky and strive to provide products that we would be proud to have in our own vehicles. Please give us a chance to add you to our long list of satisfied customers.
SHIPPING HANDLING
Shipping cost is based on weight and zip code. This site does the figuring, not us. If you feel their calculation is high, you might be underestimating the package weight and/or current shipping costs from our zip code (62401) to yours. Please don't ding us for shipping in the ratings, as we have no control over ever-increasing carrier rates.
We will enter a tracking number into your order details here on the site. They will email it to you if your notification preferences are set correctly.
A signature is not typically required. If you are not home to receive the package, it will most likely be left at your door. Please monitor it's progress and arrange to collect it when it arrives.
This site provides a section/tab in each ad for Shipping information. We encourage you to check that section for prices, methods, time-frames, etc.
