And now, the children of DeGrazia take on a new dimension as they seem to come to life in figurines created exclusively by Goebel of West Germany. Each is crafted in the finest tradition and individually hand-painted. Throughout his life, DeGrazia felt a kinship with the Indian people. He would travel to their festivals and watch the Yaquis, the Apaches, the Seris, and the Papagos. From his own impressions, he created the now famous paintings of round-faced, somber Indian children. This particular figurine, entitled "Festival of Lights", was issued in 1985. It features a young Indian girl who is seated and holding a 9-candle menorah. It stands 6" high, and the base measures 2 3/4" in diameter. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing, and comes with the original box and sponge foam packaging.
