JOHN STUART INGLE: PARADIGMS OF REALITY by John Paul Driscoll. This midwestern artist's detailed watercolor still lifes are "paradigms of reality": they combine his visual knowledge of objects with his intuitive arrangement of them. Here Ingle discusses his approach.
BRUNO CIVITICO by Eunice Agar. In New Hampshire, Civitico is one of the young artists whose paintings reflect a new spirit of classicism. Believing that mythological themes are relevant to contemporary life, he reinterprets those themes in his oils. In this article, he discusses this important new style, along with his attitudes about his work.

MATTING FRAMING by Herb Carithers. This is the first article in a new series on matting and framing artworks. In this article, Herb Carithers, who is marketing consultant to 3M's Professional and Commercial Products Department and also originator of the Oval-Master mat cutter, demonstrates how to select, measure, and cut mats, as well as how to use conservation matting methods.
