Base coat your project with a good camouflage color or use multiple similar color paints. (3 different tones of tan, or 3 different tones of green) 2. Use light coats of paint rather than thick coats and spray directly at the stencil rather than at angles. 3. For larger projects, create a frame for the stencil by using poster board. Cut a rectangle in the center of the poster board slightly smaller than the stencil. Approx. 8.5" x 13.5". Then cover the cutout with the stencil and attach using masking tape.
