Art Deco French Black Bakelite Galalith Brooch Dangling Clock Watch Face Lapel Pin 1920's Art Deco Black Bakelite Galalith, white glass round faux Clock face brooch suspended by a gold tone chain attached to bar brooch made in France circa 1920's. The white glass faux Clock face has Roman numerals in Black enamel inside a thin , gold tone frame, and has a diameter of 1 ” inches ( 4 cm ) Total length from the metal bar is 2 ” ( 5 cm ) The metal bar has a roll over pin clasp and is marked 585, I know this is the mark for 14k gold but doesn't not test positive for gold. Condition is very good the Bakelite/Galalith is free of any damage, there is normal age wear to the gold tone frame around the clock and in the center. Galalith, one of the earliest plastics, it looks and feels like Bakelite but it is milk based, so doesn't not test as the regular Bakelite.
