Item description
The Metropolitan Museum Of Art Hanging Christmas Ornament. An Early 19th Century Italian Military Hat Reproduction. This Ornament is Based on an Original Wool and Leather Piece in the Museum's Collection. These Hats were Normally About Nine Inches in Height and 7 1/2 Inches in Diameter. The Ornament is About 2 3/4 Inches Tall and About Two Inches in Diameter as measured at Top of Hat. Gold Colored Cord Hanger anchored by eyelet at Top of Hat. Inside of Hat is Hollow. Unknown Material, But either Resin or Ceramic Possibly. Unknown Vintage and Origin. Comes in Original Metropolitan Museum Transparent Hat Box with shown packing. Ornament in Pristine Condition with no Chips or Cracks and all Colors Strong and True.
