MISSOURI CAKE STAND or SALVER
US Glass Pittsburgh PA
from their
US States Series Introduced 1899
Cake stand features a lovely palm leaf or frond design with a 8 1/2" serving surface
The 3/4" raised edge brings the overall diameter to 9"
Sits 5" tall on a matching stem with palm leaves and ends
with a delicate petticoat foot / base
Clear and Sparkly!
Condition: Fine pre-owned condition without any chips, nicks or cracks, couple very faint utensil markings. One air trap bubble which is not unusual for early pressed glass.

Note: Since this is Early American Pressed Glass there may be rough edges, air bubbles, visible seams or what is commonly called "straw marks" which are lines that are formed from uneven cooling. None of these are considered defects but acceptable as part of the the early glass making process. If any of these are readily seen, we will call them out. Thanks!
