1 Vintage Gravy or Soup Ladle, Betty and 50 similar items

This is for ONE Community Stainless steel flatware ladle, made by the Oneida Company, makers of silverware for nearly 200 years. The pattern is Cello, and it was offered by Betty Crocker in the 1980s and 1990s. It has been discontinued since 2004. The ladle is 8 inches long. I have found these ladles to be very useful and versatile serving utensils, not only for gravy, but also for fruit sauces, soupier vegetables, and some kinds of soup. I have two ladles available, and although I photographed them together I am selling them individually. Of course you may buy both and save on the shipping. It has been used, and has a light patina of use marks, but is still quite shiny. The sun was quite bright the day I photographed these and it magnified or created specks on them that aren't really there. The back of the handle is NOT discolored like it may appear in the photo. Please be aware that the photos do distort the ladles somewhat -- whatever is nearer the camera looks larger. Both are exactly the same size and shape. They also are very reflective, and may show reflections of other nearby things. The photo of the back of the handle shows it darker than it actually is. Also, Oneida has made some other patterns that are very similar to Cello. They go well together, but if you are precise about your pattern, you will want to study the details and make sure you are buying the right pattern. Cello has an oval in the design at the tip of the handle, and is curvy all along the entire handle. (Duet, Royal Chippendale, Satinique, and Valerie are very similar but aren't quite identical with Cello's curves.) I am happy to answer your questions about these items.
