Item description
Vintage original 9 x 11 in. US scrapbook cover and career facts/highlights entitled JOE E. BROWN - WARNER BROTHERS STAR - IN ACTION, c.mid-1930's. One side features a full-color photograph of the beloved comedian and the verso features 5 black-and-white scenes from various of his films along with career facts and highlights. Featuring different movie stars and noting their current studio associations, these double-sided paper advertisements were only obtainable as a premium for collecting a full set of Dixie Cup lids by fans and are now highly-sought collectibles.
It is in near-fine condition with a stain on the right collar of his jacket and in the upper right background area; creases of varying sizes along the left edge; and paper loss and signs of wear around the two hole punches.
