Up for sale Vintage LIONEL TRAINS NEW YORK CENTRAL GONDOLA CAR 6462 Variation E of the Type 1c BLACK, with Original Box. Car comes with original box and two (2) wooden barrels. Car is in very good original condition,as new, shows very little play wear. Crispy white lettering,no cracks on shell ,very clean .Has excellent wheels, magnetic couplers working. Absolutely no rust. Box is in very good condition,shows some age ,only one side flaps missing (picture #9). From smoking free home. I tried to show every details on pictures. you can see all six sides , both couplers and box. Take a look and made your judgment. NO RETURN. If you have question,ask BEFORE,not after. Now information from Tandem Association- The New York Central Gondola Car No. 6462 is listed in the Production Table as Variation E of the Type 1c BLACK body that has WHITE lettering. Note that there is only two lines of car data. This car was available in 1950 and 1951, and it was equipped with Type 5a staple-end trucks with magnetic couplers. The steps have been eliminated, but this gondola is found both with, and without, brake wheels. 2
