This border does not have stakes and is meant to be placed above ground to prevent rotting. Use 1/4" rebar or wood dowels and pound into ground (every 2 to 4 feet) and then the edging placed over top of it. If you wish to use a sealer on the bamboo the life will be extended another 2 years. Sold in 10' long rolls and measures about 8" high.The diameter of the bamboo is 3/4" to 1" Remember: Cracks, blemishes and rough spots in bamboo poles, slats, fencing and edging are natural characteristics of bamboo.
