***This is NOT a Pre-Print!!!.....This is NOT a COPY!!!.....This is NOT Part of the photo!!!... This is NOT a laser print!!!....This is NOT a facsimile!!!.....This is NOT a 1st generation print....or any other new fangled term Fesellers have cleverly came up with.... that really means YOU HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF!!!***
Hey there fellow collectors! If you're worried about forged autographs, that's great, because you ought to be! I have over 35 years experience collecting, and I'm still worried! With all of the legitimate possibilities available for dealers, I find it disgusting that sooooo many sellers are knowingly ripping off the public by selling blatant forgeries and fraudulent memorabilia for the sake of a couple of bucks. Much of this junk is not even a reasonable facsimile of the real thing! People... please do your homework! Here a few basic guidelines that may be helpful in sorting through all the manure! One telltale sign are sellers on Feutilizing the "Private Feedback" option. This is a tactic that some people are using to pawn off their fakes and try and make you believe that they are only doing so to help protect the your FeID and identity. Well if that were true, all they would need to do is list their auctions as "Private" as I do in many cases, and the feedback is still there for the word to see! The true reason that they use the "Private Feedback" is to hide. Gee... let's think about that....hmmmm... why are they hiding??? Then there are the sellers that keep selling the same picture or autograph over and over and over. Read through their feed back ....check their past sales! Most celebrities make it a habit to sign only one autograph per person. For a celebrity to sign two or three items at a time is an amazing accomplishment and a rare privilege. So in MOST cases, to see a dealer selling the same item week after week after week, ought to raise an eyebrow or two don't ya think? I know....I know... they buy autographs in mass quantities and are able to offer them to you at bargain basement prices! Gee a Jennifer Garner autograph for 5 bucks what a deal!! They have got to be kidding!!! THINK ABOUT IT! IF YOU HAD THE GOOD FORTUNE OF MEETING ONE OF THESE CELEBRITIES AND WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO GET THEIR AUTOGRAPH WOULD YOU SELL IT ON FeFOR TWO BUCKS????
But they are giving me a certificate of Authenticity! Gee....It must be real then!! Well.. here is my cut at COA's. MOST are absolutely meaningless! The UACC (United Autograph Collectors Club) does not issue certificates of Authenticity nor do they endorse the use of these certificates. They are the true meaning of the phrase "They aren't worth the paper they're printed on!" Anyone with a printer can whip you up certificate... and if they're going to forge an autograph, do you think they would hesitate to make a COA? If you are looking for a fancy dancy....multicolored... 3-dimensional... polka dotted COA and a forrged autograph, we suggest you go elsewhere! I'm sure you can get one for 2.99! Heck they might even throw in free shipping! Please educate yourself and rely on your trained eye. I learned to authenticate from studying signed checks. I found this method to be the most reliable source for comparison. I obtain my Autographs in person, as well as purchase collections and items I feel confident are authentic. Please check my feedback read what my customers have to say!
Our policy on autographs is that we guarantee the authenticity of each item to the very best of our ability. If I did not get the autograph in person I have done my best to authenticate it.... based on my 35 plus years of experience. The best guarantee you have for autographs is the credibility experience of the dealer. Ask yourself.... what is the probability of that dealer being in business in the future? Because if that dealer can't be found what do you think the chances are of getting your money back? We have NEVER EVER had an autograph returned due to authenticity issues. However, if any autographed item we sell is ever found not to be authentic by any certified authenticating service we will gladly refund the purchase price.
