CGC SS 6.0 My Love #1 SIGNED Suzan Loeb and 50 similar items

About the item: My Love #1 (Sept., 1969), signed by hand by "Suzan Says" columnist Suzan Loeb (Lane). Of note, this issue features the very first "Suzan Says" column and this copy is part of CGC's special Signature Series. Loeb also wrote "Love ya," in addition to her signature, which was her typical sign off at the end of each "Suzan Says" column. The comic is authenticated with a grade of 6.-0. Fresh from CGC, it will be shipped with the utmost care. Per the CGC census report, only one SS copy grades higher as of this writing (a 6.5) and only one copy grades lower (a 5.0). So there are currently only three Signature Series copies. The 5.0 is signed by John Romita Sr. and sold in July of 2023 for $275. The 6.5 has never come to market (per GPA Analysis). About Suzan Loeb: Loeb became Marvel's "Gal Friday" in 1969 after the departure of Flo Steinberg and, with the exception of Marie Severin, was the only woman in the Marvel offices at that time. Initially, her duties were mostly limited to answered the phone and handled the incoming mail. But when the House of Ideas decided to start up a pair of romance comics - My Love, Vol. 2 and Our Love Story, Stan Lee asked her to write an advice column in the letters pages. John Romita Sr. was tasked with created the logo for the column, which used Loeb's real name with the tag line "Suzan Says," and he also illustrated Loeb's likeness to for the column banner. "Suzan Says" ran in several issues of each comic, with Loeb writing the column for both series' until spring of 1971. She left Marvel and, after retirement from the Charlotte Observer Obituary Desk, she wrote and published two children's books (for interfaith families who celebrate both Christian and Judaic holidays in a single household).
