Item description
Prehispanic works of art are made on 300gr Fabriano paper (50% cotton fiber and filigree ) of high quality. The pigment used to color the images are very varied, remarking Chartpak markers as well as Prismacolor , Politec and Stabilos .
Framed in chocolate-colored MDF frames, protected with glass and ready to be placed on the wall.
Tláloc Vase : God of rain and earth, initially found in the offering 21 of the Great Temple. This particular vase is made of clay and painted with blue pigments, and represents Tláloc with his typical attributes: fangs on each side of the mouth, a pair of circlets around the eyes, a crooked nose and a series of spikes in the headdress that, perhaps, represent hills. The characteristical features of the god TIáloc, whose mask adorns the front of the piece, are the blinders formed by stylized snakes and long fangs. Both the blinders and the circle around the mouth are decorated with stripes and circles that are particularlly related to the water deities, as shown in the Borgia Codex.
