This game does not have a box just the original sleeve it was mailed in which was standard practice in 1973 for new war games. I did notice a small discoloration on the mapsheet when listing this item, see last pic. Fall of Rome is a simulation of various periods in Roman History, on a high strategic level, from roughly 100 AD to 500 AD. Historically, these were periods of internal strife and external invasion that ravaged the Empire, culminating in its destruction in the 5th century. The game covers most of the extreme crisis periods, when the likelihood of the Empire being destroyed was at its greatest.
