If you have already used more Alka-Seltzer than recommended, do not exceed the indicated dose. The first signs of an overdose are nausea, vomiting, dizziness, tinnitus, blurred vision and hearing. Symptoms indicating serious intoxication are clouding of consciousness, trembling, shortness of breath and fever. Without consulting a doctor, Alka-Seltzer should not be used for more than 3-5 days.
