Item description
Greek scallions seeds (fresh onion)- ?????????? ??????
Listing for 50 seeds
Germination rate 85%
How to grow:
Plant your onion seeds in the ground when the soil in your area becomes workable for the spring season. The onion seeds will germinate when the soil is anywhere between 65 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit (18.33 to 30 degrees Celsius). The seeds should be placed in the ground or pot and covered with .5 inch (1.25 cm) of soil. If you're planting them in a garden, place the seeds anywhere from 1.5 feet to 2 feet (.46 to .61 m) apart.
Place mulch around the plants. This helps to protect against weed growth and to hold moisture in the soil. Though this step is not required, it is recommended to ensure optimal plant growth.
Provide the onion plants with about 1 inch (2.54 cm) of water per week. For optimal plant growth, the soil does not need to be soggy, but it should be moist.
Test the soil conditions. Insert your finger, up to the second knuckle, in the soil close to where the plant is. If you feel that the soil is dry, water it. If you think the soil is wet enough, don't worry about watering, and repeat the test again in a few days. If your area has received rain recently, you may not need to water.
Harvest the green onions 70 to 90 days after planting. When you see that the stalks have reached about 6 to 8 inches (15.2 to 20.3 centimeters) in height, you can pull the plant from the ground.
