DESCRIPTION:  This is a SMALL Scmid figurine of the Big Bad Wolf from Little Red Riding Hood.  I have been unable to find anything similar from this company online.  The wolf is dressed in Grandma's robe and carries a lamp.  I very seldom describe anything as rare, but I believe that this figurine is a rare subject as well a size that was rarely hand signed.

There is no paper tag on the bottom.  All the marks are incised or inked on the top of the base.  Incised marks read:

  • BFA SCOTLAND
  • (copyright symbol) Schmid 1990

Under the ink signature there is a tiny ink number that appears to be 195.

SIZE:  This figurine is 2 1/2" wide and 2 3/8" tall.

BACKGROUND:  This is one of a number of figurines I recently bought from the estate of a neighbor who had several thousand figurines from many different makers.  She collected animals and people in various materials.
