14 years old Alexander Prior is a gifted composer and conductor who has already seen his music performed by respected orchestras and ensembles and received several prestigious awards for his compositions.Born in London to a Russian mother and English father Alexander considers himself a Russian composer. He started composing since the age of 8. Since then he has written over 40 works including two symphonies, two ballets, an opera, two string quartets and many more.At age 9 young composers was admitted to the Royal College of Music, London. From age 13 he became the youngest student since Prokofiev at St Petersburg Conservatory.Alexander's piano concerto No.I debuted at the prestigious V International Piano Festival in St Petersburg's Cappella in September 2006. His work represented the 21st Century alongside Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.I from 19th and Prokofiev's Piano Concerto Nol from 20th Century. In April 2007 over two hours of Prior's chamber music, including his preludes for piano.
