Vintage original 14 x 36 in. US insert poster from the popular 1940's comedy/romance, THE BRIDE WORE BOOTS, released in 1946 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Irving PichelA bookish historian (Robert Cummings) is married to a steely Southern belle (Barbara Stanwyck) who raises horses, an animal that he doesn't care for. However, the cute young neighbor girl (Diana Lynn) doesn't feel that way about him and makes no bones about letting him know it.

The image features a large color photographic close shot of Barbara Stanwyck, Robert Cummings and a pensive-looking Diana Lynn in the center which is complimented by two color scenes from the film at the top and bottom. The film's title is featured in a bold shade of red which stands out against the white background and dark blue credits. Measuring 14 x 36 in., this vintage original insert poster is unrestored and rolled (unfolded) as it was originally issued. It is unrestored in very good+ condition with a light semi-fold line across the center that is not a true fold line; small chips, creases, a 1 in. diagonal tear on the top border to the right of Stanwyck's first name; a 1 in. tear in the right border in the top quarter of the poster with a 0.75 in. horizontal tear at the same place on the left border;; two tiny chips in the bottom half of the right border; an uneven diagonal chip on the bottom left corner; an area of creasing on the bottom right corner; a small water stain along the bottom of the left border just beneath "PATRIC"; and random surface dirt in the very bottom of the poster. The colors are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading and this poster looks great in person.

As this poster is rolled, it will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube to prevent damage while in transit.
