Offered here is a vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the lavishly-mounted silent film costume drama/romance, MONSIEUR BEAUCAIRE, released in 1924 and directed by Sidney Olcott. The film stars Rudolph Valentino as the Duke de Chartres/ Monsieur Beaucaire.

The image features an interior long shot of the handsome and elegant Duke de Chartres (Rudolph Valentino) wearing an all-white satin brocade dress coat as he holds the hand of the beautiful Lady Mary (Doris Kenyon) as as the couple converse with the Duke of Winterset (Ian Maclaren) while two other aristocrats watch in the background. Lady Mary's costume is incredibly detailed and beautiful and is a testament to the work of Barbier and Valentino's wife, Natacha Rambova, who designed the incredible period costumes for this film. Printed on single-weight stock with a glossy finish, this vintage original photograph is in fine+ condition with a 1 in. diagonal crease on the top right corner within the borders only and light signs of wear on the tip of the other three corners. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the image quality is razor-sharp with very fine detail and beautiful contrast.
