Here are 2 charming vintage hand woven wicker figural animal baskets/boxes.
Not sure exactly which animal each is.. A wombat? Cat? the little one reminds me of a pekinese but i think it is a little chicken.
The button eyes, bamboo ears and wood nose add sweet detailing, the bands of color also add to the charm. One ear does have a piece cracked off the inner edge.
Each basket has a basket and a lid. 4 pieces in all..
Perfect for hiding Easter treats, would delight a child.
the base has nice detailing as well and the whole piece has a lovely patina from age.
The large basket measures 9 inches tall by 9 inches wide.
