Item description for Vintage Postcard Old Man of the Mountains Franconia Notch NH Vtg Unused

This vintage postcard features the iconic Old Man of the Mountains in Franconia Notch, New Hampshire. The profile, formed during the Ice Age, was worshipped by the Indians as the profile of the "Great Spirit" and was first discovered by white men in 1805. The face, measuring 48 feet from forehead to chin, stands 1200 feet above Profile Lake and 3200 feet above sea level.

The postcard is unused and in excellent condition with no postmark or handwritten message.
