The Pump Coin Trap is an OEM component for Samsung front-load washing machines. As its name suggests, this part collects and traps coins and other foreign objects that may find their way into the wash system.

Causes of a bad pump coin trap can include excess wear over time, blockage due to accumulation of debris inside the trap mechanism, or damage that compromises its coin-collecting ability.

Symptoms of a bad pump coin trap include:

• Abnormal noises or vibrations coming from the pump area
• Reduced or inefficient water drainage
• Fluctuations in water levels during cycles
• Inability to detect and collect coins that enter the wash system

This OEM Samsung part can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.
