INSTALLATION TIP: It is almost impossible to get the piston to go in from the bottom of the cylinder when the rings are new and with the piston dangling from the rod. I found the best way to assemble these engines is to put the piston in from the top of the cylinder with the cylinder on a work bench using a high quality ring compressor. Then push the piston so it sticks out the bottom. Then slide the cylinder over the studs and connect the rod to the piston. Be very careful not to pull the piston out too far and let the rings pop out (if that happens you get to start over).
