This is an ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, ESTATE PAIR of LARGE 2-STONE STUD EARRINGS that was made in the ART DECO DOUBLE HALO STYLE. They are made from PLATINUM with 18K GOLD POSTS and SNAP-ON backs. The earrings are set with 2 ORIGINAL ANTIQUE, OLD EUROPEAN CUT DIAMONDS (bottom hanging) and 2 ORIGINAL ANTIQUE, OLD TRANSITIONAL CUT DIAMOND (top studs). The transitional cut is the antique cut that is closest to the modern brilliant cut in regards to proportions and light return. It is also known as the Early Modern or Early American Cut.
The total diamond weight is approx. 4.75 CARATS and the earrings come with a EGL GEM ID CARD that grades the diamonds are follows:
2 OLD EUROPEAN CUT DIAMONDS of G-H color, SI1-SI2 clarity that weigh approx. 3.50 ctw
2 OLD TRANSITIONAL CUT DIAMONDS of G-H color, SI1-SI2 clarity that weigh approx. 1.25 ctw
The earrings measure 15/16” long by 1/2” at the widest diameter and they are 5/16” at the thickest point. The lower gallery has a cut-out motif and the total weight is a solid feeling 15.2 grams.
