You are buying a circa 1895 CASED GLASS HAND BLOWN GROUND PONTIL toothpick holder. The base has a ground pontil and the colors are a cranberry over a off white color glass. If you are not familiar with “Cased Glass” it is usually hand blown and is a distinct color variation layer of 2 glasses. There are a variety of companies who made glass like this my guess is Hobbs and Brockunier but there were English glass makers who did Cased Glass like this. This piece does glow under black light but stronger on the foot than the upper portion. This is part of a 400 piece collection I will be selling online here and through various sites.
The condition is very good no chips or cracks, no repairs, no cloudiness/sick glass, there are some tiny colored impurities in the glass making top rim.
