Antique 1842 German language book. Looks like a religious book of some sort on Christianity under the Evangelical Church. Book was published and printed in Allentown, Pennsylvania by Gedrudt bei B. und W. Blumer.

Title as far as I can tell says Christliche Betrachtungen uber die Evangelichen Terte or Serte? fo man zu lefen pfleget an den Sonntagen und hohen Teften. I can't read the German at all. Please see photos for title page.

Book has Hereford Literary Society library bookplate with No. 221 written on it inside front cover. 780 pages. Leather cover.

Side title says Weichenbung Predigten? Has sticker on spine with 221 on it.

Measures approx. 9 1/4 x 6 x 2".

Leather cover has much antique wear and discoloration, scratching , rubbing off. Corners and Spine is tearing, breaking off at ends. Cover is starting to pull and separate from book but is still intact. Loose front end page is half torn from binding, still attached though. Pages have foxing, wear and discoloration due to age. Seem to all be intact. Some wear around edges, but not a lot of breakage to pages. See photos. Sides of pages is yellowish color.
