In the aftermath of a comet breaking up over Earth, most of the planet's population quickly succumbs to a strange disease which turns them into zombies. Of the few survivors who have made it, they are constantly on the lookout for survival resources, 'Mad Max' inspired fuel being a big one. Barry travels the wilds of the scorched Earth with his sister Brooke in tow, that is until she is kidnapped.

She's been nabbed by a well-armed group of survivalists and brought to their boss, a mad scientist who experiments on the living. With Brooke as his latest subject, Barry does everything he can to fight his way back to her. Meanwhile, the experiments that Brooke has been subjected to wind up having an interesting side effect in that she is now able to wield some sort of strange power over the shambling hordes that allow her to control them.
