This superb fire screen dates to ca1820 and has its original needlepoint which is finely stitched on fine grain linen. The glass appears to have been replaced at some stage. The screen is made from rosewood and is in the barley twist design with beautifully carved relief and crowns. One of the crowns has a small chip from its extrmeity as can be seen from the images. The screen measures 51" in height x 32" in width.
