The
FLYIT Professional Helicopter Simulator is a two-seat, side-by-side
cockpit with dual controls providing hands-on instruction for
hovering and all flight maneuvering.
The
extreme realism of the FLYIT
Professional Helicopter
Simulator
allows pilots to spend more time flying to maintain and enhance their
proficiency without using expensive helicopter flight time.
The cockpit size and structure is dimensionally similar to the Bell 206 and comes standard with flight models for the Robinson R22, R44.
FLYIT helicopter simulation device was qualified and approved by U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a helicopter training device. On December 2014 FAA prolonged this certification - FLYIT Simulators PHS-1 model has be been authorized for use as a helicopter Basic Aviation Training Device (BATD).
FAA approved FLYIT Professional Helicopter Simulator for VFR (visual flight rules) and IFR (instrumental flight rules) training.
Instrumentation
A full IFR panel is provided: All engine and fuel gauges, engine/rotor RPM, AH, ALT, ROC, T&B, HSI, VOR, ADF, and Transponder. Engine gauges can be selected as reciprocating or turbine.
A full avionics system is installed in the center console and digital displays are the same as in the real avionics.
Switch panels
All switch functions momentary, rotary and potentiometers are hard mounted and replicate size, shape, color and location of those in the real aircraft. The center console controls supports reciprocating or turbine engines.
Controls
Dual cyclic, collective, and torque pedals replicate the ones used in the real aircraft. All switch functions operate. Torque pedals are fore/aft adjustable. Individual and Robinson T-style cyclic sticks are included.
The FLYIT Professional Helicopter Simulator provides an accurate flight model. Also over 24,000 airports and all navigation aids are available.
The software portrays accurate flight dynamics based on aircraft and environmental conditions. Pilots can experience:
Translational lift
Correct movements based on inputs of controls while hovering
Maintaining altitude and heading at all speeds
Tracking VOR’s (crosswinds)
Holding patterns
Vortex ring state (settling with power)
Dynamic roll-over
Effects of density altitude
Overloading
Weights and Balance
Full down auto-rotation, and much more
GROW Display
A 93" wide x 78" high rear projected Ground Reference Out-the-Window (GROW) view provides accurate situational and positional awareness.
The entire helicopter simulator is supplied in an Instructor Command Center and mini trailer classroom:
3 LCD monitors, desk and leather chair.
Moving map, flight review, print flight path.
On the fly weather change.
Relocate the aircraft.
Record and replay flights with the student from inside the cockpit view or with an external view of the aircraft.
Dedicated instructor fault panel and wireless keyboard that can be used in the cockpit or at the instructor desk.
Fault panel allows failure of aircraft systems, instruments and avionics.
Select any meteorological weather condition including precipitation.
Simulator is a trailer classroom:
Self-contained.
Take it to big customers.
Promote at Malls & Shows.
Inexpensive floor space.
Easily relocated.
Can be operated 24 hours per day.
