Having repaired numerous RAM IPMs, I can confidently say that the relays for the trailer tow turn signals within these fuse boxes are highly susceptible to failure. This could be due to their age or the mechanical strain they experience, or possibly both. To offer a more modern solution in my repair services, I've developed a custom solid-state relay substitution to do away with the more traditional mechanical relays.
I've done extensive testing for them and have been using them in all my ram ipm repairs for a long time now with no issues so I decided it was time to make them available for purchase.
Our non-mechanical solid-state relays are custom-made to replace the outdated and obsolete through-hole soldered relays from TYCO, including part numbers VFM-21F42-S01 and V23073-h2005-A402, as well as the American ZETTLER AZ988-1AT-12DSEC3R.
Designed to provide superior performance, each unit is meticulously assembled by hand using highest quality components and REL22 high reliability lead-free solder. Each of our custom relays will undergo thorough testing before shipment.
While originally created as replacements for the internal relays found in Dodge RAM IPM fuse boxes, they are suitable for use as substitutes for the listed tyco or zettler relays in any applicable setting. Just keep in mind that since it uses a mosfet instead of a coil and mechanical switch you must follow the pinout correctly.
