This antique Chinese Ming large Coffee Table was originally made as a scholar daybed, which is more frequently seen and used as a long large table. The table is handcrafted in an elegant Ming style with straight lines and curved legs. The table is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenon structure,  which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Perfect for a large coffee table. Circa the early 19th century. Original patina and wear. Made from Elmwood, the table is very solid and heavy. Excellent condition.
