Up for bidding is a sweet vintage advent calendar that shows a Nativity scene. This calendar folds open like a greeting card. The scene has dimensional elements that fold out, and little doors for each day. This paper foldout card measures about 9 1/2" tall, and is about 7 1/2" wide when folded, or about 11 1/2" long when unfolded. The soft pastel art scene shows Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus in the manger. Cute little barefoot children gather around to witness, and there are baby lambs, bunnies, and a fawn looking on. The stable is decorated with colorful bells and greenery, and the scene has a snowy blue background. The outside of the card is red and shows little children looking at the baby in the manger. The card is undated and has the mark "ACO" in one corner.

  This vintage piece is in good condition and would look wonderful on display. The doors are intact - some have been opened and some remain unopened. The doors that have been opened are in good condition with minor signs of use.  There is a small rubbed spot in the sky where the two sides of the piece meet at the top corner of the spine. The pop-out section with bunnies and lambs is intact, but tends to fall over so it must be positioned carefully for display.

  The outside of the folded card shows some rubs, marks, and wear, with creases and remnants of old tape, and a small tear at the top corner. Because this older piece was stored for so long, the exterior of the folded card shows more wear than the interior advent calendar Nativity scene. The artwork in the scene looks nice when the card is opened and arranged for display. This piece was part of a collection of vintage advent calendars, and was stored carefully with the original owner since it was first released.
