This vintage tumbler measures 4 1/8 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter.  It is made to hold 9 ounces of beverage and is in the Anchor Hocking “Georgian Avocado Green” pattern.   The avocado hue has a yellowish tint but mixes well with Forest Green pieces.

This came from a deceased relative’s collection of things, many of which she used every day, others only on special occasions and still others just for decoration.  She was particularly fond of Forest Green in all the patterns, Charm, Waterford, Sandwich etc. 

We will be offering items from her collection as we work through the boxes that have been in storage for decades, since she went into a nursing home in the 1980s.  She had a huge collection of Forest Green.  After that we will be offering her daughter-in-law’s equally huge collection of Royal Ruby.   They had a few differences but between the red and green it always felt like Christmas.
