2 PATRIOTIC ORDER of AMERICA FREE EDUCATION P.O. of A. FE STERLING PIN Vintage

There are TWO pins here both from the PATRIOTIC ORDER OF AMERICA! 

That is the women's group that goes along with the P.O.S. of A., the Patrotic Order Sons of America.

The women added the "FE" for Free Education which was a Protestant based education to balance against the Catholic religion teachings.

The largest pin is rectangular in shape.  Made of goldtone metal it has a black enamel background upon which are a pair of interlocking circles with white enamel inside. An American Flag is on one side and a book with the letters "FE" appears on the other.

The back of this pin is marked "Phila Badge Co. Phila PA".

The other pin is the pair of interlocking circles.  A green laurel wreath design on the sides of the cirles and white in the centers with the same Book and American Flag.

This pin is marked "STERLING" on the back.

METAL:  Goldtone and STERLING Silver

MATERIAL:  Enamel in green, black and white.

CLASP:  Both have roll over safety clasps

MEASUREMENTS: 7/8" x 5/8" and 9/16" x 3/8"

CONDITION: These pins are in pre-owned and vintage used condition. The clasps are both in full working order. There is tarnish, scratching, enamel and finish wear present.
