"WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT" is a 1988 American fantasy-comedy directed by Robert Zemeckis, released by Touchtone Pictures, combining live action and animation and is based on Gary K Wolf's novel, "WHO CENSORED ROGER RABBIT?"
In 1981, WALT DISNEY PICTURES purchased the rights to the story. Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment later helped finance the film.
The TOON PATROL is a group of 5 antrhopomorphic animated weasels that serve as henchmen to Judge Doom and the supporting antagonists of the film. In the film, the TOON PATROL are the law officers of Toontown, but they behave more like vigilantes and mercenaries. The weasels enjoy laughing at the misery of others, including each other. Judge Doom has hired them to arrest Roger Rabbit for the murder of Marvin Acme.
