The Selector Knob is an OEM replacement part for GE electric ranges. It is the component that controls the oven functions, temperature settings, and time/timer selection for both the oven and stovetop elements. As the primary user interface, the knob selector allows for intuitive navigation of the range's various cooking features.

Symptoms of a problematic knob include:

• Functions or temperature levels not engaging properly when rotated  
• Numbers, letters, or other indicators on the knob fading or peeling
• Knob physically loose, wobbly, or difficult to turn
• Stovetop elements, oven burner, or bake functions not responding correctly to settings
• Intermittent ignition or flame output from the range
