This listing is for the original handwritten record book, HOLLIS EVANGELICAL SABBATH SCHOOL SOCIETY hard cover, paper over board cover, leather spine, measures approx 7"x8.25".
Starts in 1852 and ends with 1871, with about 70 or so unnumbered pages with writing on them, with the last page signed John H. Temple, secretary.
Mention of civil war for example,
- 1862 - appropriate $20 for the benefit of Freedmen of the Southern Sates
- "3 members of the school joined the Union Army to serve their country. 3 years viz Parmenter, Eames & Lymmes
- Voted to send $10.00 Library to the Co. H. 32nd Regiment Mass Vol... for a soldiers library 1/2 to Co H Regiment & 1/2 to Co F 45 Regiment, etc.
