Vintage Fenton 8 Piece Pitcher Set Ruby Red GEORGIAN "Agua Caliente" Stem #1611 (or Duncan & Miller Stem #103)

Includes 56 Oz Pitcher and 7 - 10 Oz Water Goblets

The Fenton Georgian Pattern Stem #1611 Featured a Honeycomb Design

Manufactured from 1931 to 1942.

These are a lovely deep ruby color with the pitcher being a shade lighter on the bottom honeycomb design, making it appear amberina depending upon the lighting.

Georgian (#1611) Fenton introduced Georgian in amber, aqua, black, crystal, jade green, transparent green, rose, ruby and milk in 1931. This pattern was originally called "Agua Caliente." Production of most colors continued through 1939. Ruby tumblers, 8" plates and stems were produced through 1942. Later, several colors and sizes of flat tumblers were made in the mid 1950's. Elusive pieces include the cocktail shaker, vase, decanter and mugs. The 10" plates and ice pail are also desirable. Numerous other glass companies also made a Georgian-style pattern. It is sometimes difficult to distinguish the Fenton Georgian pieces from similar glassware made by other manufacturers.

The Fenton pattern is most simliar to Duncan and Miller's Georgian pattern (stem #103). While I believe these to be Fenton, there is certainly a possibilty that they could be attributed to Duncan and Miller, as I am cannot with 100% certainty document that a pitcher in this pattern was ever produced by Fenton.

VERY GOOD CONDITION ~ The only flaw noted is the pitcher has a few strange lines in the front beneath the spout. On first inspection I thought they were gold lines/marks, or possibly hairlines, but on further inspection it appears that they are manufacturer flaws (at least to me). Looks like they occurred at time of manufacture. They are not hairlines. I have put a couple of photos of outside and inside, but please look at these prior to purchase. They are essentially clear lines on the surface of the glass - with some both inside and out. They appear gold due to the red glass behind them, if that makes sense. The pitcher also has a few small typical air bubbles in the glass overall. No other nicks, chips, cracks, flea bites, film or damage.  Goblets are in pristine condition! This is a BEAUTIFUL SET - don't let the lines in the pitcher scare you, unless you are very picky. This set looks gorgeous on display! Showing little, if any, signs of wear or use.

Pitcher measures approx. 7 3/4" tall x 8" from back of handle to tip of spout.
Each goblet measures approx. 5 5/8" tall x 3 1/2" rim x 3" base diameter.
